About Us

The Motorist was established as a museum in 1995 to coincide with the return of Puffing Billy Tourist Railway to Gembrook after this stretch of the line was closed due to a landslide.

The Motorist Collection/Museum is a small private collection of vintage and classic cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and associated memorabilia presented in an appealing but rustic way.

The Motorist is located whithin the Dandenong Ranges, 70km east of Melbourne, Australia

You may visit as individuals or groups.

The venue may also be hired for functions

The collection is owned by David Peck and he will be your organisational contact as well as your host on the day. He is a genuine old motoring enthusiast as will become apparent when you visit.
